Description

Stiefe'sl hemp seeds have nutrients in them that can positively impact your horse's health. Hemp seeds can have a positive effect on the immune system, skin, coat and hooves. They could also support relief for inflammatory processes and in muscles as well as nerve problems.

Hemp has been used for both human and animal consumption for centuries and is growing in popularity as a high-quality feed supplement for horses.

Hemp seeds are rich in high-quality amino acids, easily digestible proteins and essential trace elements/minerals. The omega-3 fatty acids contained in the seeds offer an optimal ratio of omega-3s and omega-6s for your horse. Hemp seeds also contain secondary plant substances and vitamins, especially vitamin E.

Hemp has many positive effects. It could have a strengthening effect on the immune system and could also regulate the appetite. It has strong antioxidant properties and can therefore counteract inflammation. Muscle building as well as cardiovascular problems, nerve irritation or muscle tension can be positively influenced by hemp seeds. Feeding your horse hemp seeds can also be used to relieve skin problems such as itching, allergic reactions and dandruff and have a generally positive effect on the coat and on hoof growth.

Even horses with metabolic disorders benefit from the very low sugar content in the hemp seeds. Hemp also has a positive effect fat and sugar metabolism.

The seeds should be supplemented daily over at least 2-3 weeks if not longer. The dosage can be temporarily doubled in times of need.

We recommend not feeding your horse hemp for 48 hours before tournaments. Please note the current anti-doping guidelines (ADMR) of the FN.

Feeding advice:

Large horses (600 kg body weight): 60 g daily
Small horses 30 g daily

Feed slowly. Feeding should take place daily and over a longer period of at least 2 to 8 weeks. Grind the seeds in the a mortar to make their great properties even more readily available.
