Stiefel Winter Hoof Gel
Protection of hooves during the cold and wet season
- Humidity-controlling effect
- Hooves remain elastic
- Essential ingredients
Stiefel Winter Hoof Gel contains essential ingredients for effective hoof care and has a humidity-controlling effect during the cold and wet season. The hooves remain elastic and penetration of too much humidity is prevented. The frog is protected against thrush.
The Stiefel winter hoof gel regulates humidity, as it also contains panthenol. This ingredient penetrates into the hoof, where it is converted into pantothenic acid (VITAMIN B5). Vitamin B5 stimulates the lipid synthesis. Lipids ensure that less humidity can penetrate into the hoof. Pantothenic acid can also strengthen the hoof. It stimulates cell division by activating the fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Fibroblasts, in turn, produce collagen that keeps the hoof structure elastic. Keratinocytes are responsible for horn growth and produce keratin. Keratin is a protein that determines the hoof structure. Thuja oil is also reported to have antiseptic properties that prevent rot.
Apply regularly and thinly on the cleaned and preferably dry hoof and frog.
